6 EASY STEPS FOR HAPPINESS
FROM START TO FINISH.
1.
PREPERATION
We prepare the floor surface using a diamond grinder. This preparation process is paramount to achieving a porous and contaminant free floor surface that will allow our systems to penetrate and bond at the molecular level.
2.
CONCRETE RECONSTRUCTION
Any cracks in the floor are ground out and specialized menders and fillers are used to fill pits and cracks before the process begins.
3.
EPOXY PRIMER AND BASECOAT
Part of our surface preparations also include evaluation of the surface. Some applications may require an additional primer coat to combat excessive porosity or moisture migration. Using industrial grade, 100% solids epoxy, we pour and roll the chosen color solid epoxy. This can be a basecoat for an overlay or the final color coat as chosen by the customer.
4.
BROADCAST THE POLYMER FLAKES
Immediately after the basecoat application, the flake is generously broadcast by hand, providing both color and texture to the floor. The colors of the flake and the amount of flakes can be customized per the customers request.
5.
SCRAPE AND REMOVE EXCESS FLAKE
After an overnight cure, we perform floor scraping in two different directions. This step effectively eliminates any loose flakes or sharp edges that may be present. Prior to the application of the final topcoat, we conduct a thorough clean-up, including vacuuming.
6.
APPLY UV STABLE TOPCOAT
Once the basecoat is applied, flakes are sprinkled and subsequently cleaned. Following that, our Polyaspartic top coat is applied to ensure a flawless finish that is resistant to chipping or peeling.
